+ Websites
| Static websites | Dynamic websites | Combination of both | Mobile websites |
There are two types of websites: static websites and dynamic websites. The difference is entirely in their function. Depending on the function, CRM.art will suggest a static or a dynamic website for you, or a combination of both.
Static websites
Static websites are built page by page and don’t have any interaction with a data bank. This type is appropriate for smaller projects where the content doesn’t have to be constantly modified.
To change a website like this requires a basic knowledge of HTML. CRM.art usually takes care of the support and modifications for these websites. This happens usually on the basis of a pre-agreed charge.
Why choose a static site?
- If there won’t be many modifications
- If you have a limited budget
Dynamic websites
Dynamic websites take their content from a database. Larger projects, such as CMS controlled websites or webshops are always dynamic websites.
CMS controlled websites allow you to modify the content yourself without any knowledge of HTML or other web languages. You browse in a Word-like screen and add or modify things personally. On a dynamic webshop you are, among other things, able to carry out your own product or order management.
Why choose a dynamic website?
- If you want to change the content yourself
- If the website requires frequent updates
Combination of both
A website can be partly static and partly dynamic without any problem. You can, for example, have a static website where you can manage the news section yourself. Please contact us if you would like more information: info@crmart.be
Mobile websites
Mobile websites are specifically designed to be viewed on mobile phones. Compared to a regular website, their structure is less complex, the pages are less extensive and the limited navigation possibilities offered by mobile phones are also taken into account. Furthermore, the specific technology ensures that the website will be reproduced according to the highest capabilities of a phone. The content, for example, will be adapted to the size of the screen.
According to a recent study by Universal McCann, smartphones will play an important role in doing business through the internet. The users of smartphones, such as iPhone, BlackBerry or HTC, react more frequently to advertisements (53%), ask for more information or coupons (35%), and buy more with their mobile phones (24%). They also use their phones more often during shopping (81%) and commuting.
Today, nearly one minute out of every seven used for media consumption is via a mobile phone. And six out of ten owners believe that their use of mobile internet will grow significantly during the next two years. Mobile technology has experienced a profound conversion: whereas people just used to be able “to surf the Internet wirelessly”, nowadays it has become a highly personal experience on a medium that the user can adapt perfectly to their personal demands, thanks to many downloadable applications.
